Hot Evening

The sunsets in the tropics are of course more splendid, this is more of a parboiled sunset. Viewed through the curlicue bars that protect the open window of the west-facing kitchen on a hot evening at Spencer Alley. The pollution that is usually blown out to sea or down the valley is now trapped here in San Francisco where it originates.

That tree-presence on the right is our young-mature eucalyptus growing in the backyard of a sushi restaurant that fronts onto much-populated 16th Street here in the still-young and free-spending Mission.
