Photographer Larry Sulton died last month at age 63. The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has set up a sort of memorial room in his honor, and I snapshotted the detail above from a large glossy print of his famous 1984 photo, Mom Posing by Green Wall and Dad Watching TV. Then right around the corner in the men's room I decided to shoot a companion piece in the mirror. I think I can claim a certain resemblance, at least in spirit, to Larry Sultan's mom. And both pictures rely a lot on green.
