Guerrero

When I was walking up Guerrero in the Mission this morning the sunrise was arriving with colors and patterns whose quality and intensity struck me as a lot more suggestive of summer than winter.

And when I had finished my supermarket tasks and was headed back home on Dolores (below), the fully risen sun was shedding summer light all over everything, as if to show that San Francisco can look just like the hackneyed postcard version of California in the middle of the winter, even though it hardly ever does.
