L'après-midi d'un faune

One of the transitional poses I happened to catch with the camera on Wednesday afternoon as I followed the incessant movement (up, down and sideways) of Mabel Watson Payne – while she pursued the everyday business of amusing herself – reminded me vividly of something. But of what? It took me a while to place the reference and realize that my granddaughter was channeling the distinctive choreography from Nijinsky's ballet of 1912 set to music by Debussy, L'après-midi d'un faune.
