Valentine Icon

Bouquet of Flowers, c. 1909-10
Henri Rousseau died in 1910 at age 66. His Bouquet of Flowers is the best work I can imagine to represent Valentines Day. It was painted during the last year of the artist's life. And few are those lives that manage (like this) to overflow with their inborn characteristic vitality all the way to the finish.
