Pictured here, the Blessed Virgin in some of her incessant encounters with angels and other holy beings. Specially-skilled Europeans occupied themselves full-time in past centuries with the task of producing views like these, elaborating the one and only narrative that defined their civilization. Or alternatively, they just used it as a pretext for design adventures.
