Wenceslaus Hollar collaborated with Flemish artist Hendrik van der Borcht to create an illustrated instruction book issued by London publisher Peter Stent in 1650 (title page above)  A Booke of Drawinges, Performed according to the best order for use & Brevity that is yet Extant.

Each of the Hollar engravings below came into existence as tribute and acknowledged homage to another, earlier artist. These include Giorgione, Adam Elsheimer, Jacopo Bassano, Matthäus Merian, David Teniers, and Rembrandt.
