Our Yellow Kite

Our yellow kite
small in the blue
whom we despatched
a shining letter

and frenzied swung
in seven coils
her knotted tail
is gone, our string

snapt: a thousand
meters over
the rough Atlantic
we offer her

to you strong Wind
blow us no ill,
to you rough Sea
where she is drowning.
